Tutorial/Help
How to create your own adventures/information on the various pages of the site.

With our first screen created, we can start to imagine what the rest of the adventure will be like. The Screen Editor allows you to quickly map out the structure of your adventure without having to worry about what exactly happens in each screen.

Click on the beginning screen, newly-renamed "A new day," and click "Make New Child" from the menu. The term "child" refers to a screen that is a choice of its "parent" screen--this will be one of the choices a user will be able to choose from after reading the beginning screen.

A popup will ask what you'd like to name the new screen.

Press OK and a new screen is created, automatically connected to your beginning screen. The Screen Editor will automatically create screens in a left-to-right fashion, but if you get confused you can always hover over a screen to highlight its various connections.

Here I am hovering over "A new day." It highlights the connections and screens that lead FROM the screen I hover over in green, and displays the text that will currently be used as a link leading to the screen. So at this very moment, my Adventure consists of two screens, beginning with "A new day," which has a single choice, "Back to sleep," that leads to the screen of the same name. Confused? Don't worry. A little playing around in the Screen Editor and you'll get it soon enough.

After less than a minute of creating new screens, this is what my adventure's structure looks like now:

None of these screens have any actual content (except for the first one), but now I know what I'm working towards. I can always make changes later on, but it's good to have an outline to work from..
